COOPERATION
The background of Military Institute of Armament Technology dates to 25 March 1926 when an Institute for Artillery Researches was formally founded by the Ministry of Military Affairs in the Republic of Poland.
All the time until the start of the II War the Institute had been a centre of analysis, studies and research works on armament and had been dealing mainly with weapon systems and ammunition testing and the upgrading of equipment left by the First War Allied and Occupant Armies. Before the II War more than 200 types of weapon systems and ammunition were adapted, deployed and upgraded and more than 100 new solutions were developed.
In the nineties a lot of structural changes were carried out in Institute to adapt it better into more competitive market environment existing in the scope of its activity. Integration of the Polish Armed Forces with NATO military structures has been bringing some new challenges and Institute copes with them successfully. Weapon certification and test quality assurance systems were implemented according to European standards. Five testing labs received the accreditation from the Polish Accreditation Centre and Institute is authorised to issue certifications for more than 150 items.
As the Institute creates a scientific background for the Army being a part of NATO structure its main goal is to maintain the highest level of specialisation in domains which decide about art of technology level for weapon systems and equipment for the Armed Forces and which due to the prestige and economical reasons should be manufactured in country.
DRONE ARMING CENTER
Who we are
The Drone Arming Center is a joint project of the Niewiadów Group, responsible for the development, integration, and certification of combat systems for unmanned platforms.
It was formed by combining three complementary competencies: the technological know-how of Tech Robotics S.A. in UGV and UAV platforms, over a hundred years of experience of ZSP Niewiadów Sp. z o.o. in the production of ammunition and combat charges, and the R&D and capital backing of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna S.A.
As a result, the Center operates as a single point of contact where a manufacturer of an unmanned platform — regardless of its type or origin — receives a complete Arming process: from integration, through testing and certification, to a combat-ready system.
Cooperation process
Cooperation with the Drone Arming Center follows a transparent, seven-stage process.
It begins with analysis of the supplied platform and the partner’s requirements, followed by design of the payload integration concept. The next stages are the actual integration of the combat system with the platform, a series of tests to verify functionality, and formal certification confirming compliance with applicable standards. Where needed, the process also includes production — of integration components as well as series production of finished systems — and concludes with delivery of the finished product to the partner.
Every stage is documented, ensuring full process transparency and predictability for the business partner.
Our solution
The process offered by the Drone Arming Center covers the full path from a manufacturer’s platform to a combat-ready system.
The starting point is the manufacturer’s platform — a drone or other unmanned unit supplied by the partner in unmodified form.
On this basis, the Center’s team carries out integration of the weapon system, selecting a solution suited to the platform’s design and purpose. The next stage is testing — functional and combat trials verifying the reliability and safety of the entire system.
The process concludes with certification, confirming compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
The end result is a platform with combat-ready status — a fully integrated, tested, and certified combat system ready for operational deployment.
Integration capabilities
The Drone Arming Center specializes in integrating payloads onto unmanned platforms across air, land, and sea. Its capabilities include FPV drones, loitering munitions, VTOL and fixed-wing UAVs, as well as ground platforms (UGVs), surface vessels (USVs), and underwater vehicles (UUVs). This cross-domain experience allows the Center to adapt each integration to the platform’s specific constraints.
To meet diverse mission requirements, the Center offers a range of payload options, both standard and innovative. Each payload is selected to perfectly match the platform’s requirements, ensuring reliable performance in real operational conditions.
Benefits for our partners
For a business partner, working with the Drone Arming Center means, above all, a shorter time-to-market — established integration and certification processes allow an armed platform to reach the market faster than building these competencies in-house.
Partners receive ready-made payloads designed specifically for their platform, along with full certification and legal security of operations in line with applicable regulations.
The Group’s production infrastructure ensures scalability — from single units to series orders — and the Group’s international track record translates into real support for the export and marketing of the finished product.
- Shorter time-to-market
- Ready to go armament
- Certification & legal safety
- Scalable production
- Support in export & marketing
Cooperation model
The Drone Arming Center’s cooperation model is based on a simple division of roles: you bring your unmanned platform and the Center takes care of the rest. We arm it — we integrate, test, and certify the combat system in line with the partner’s requirements and applicable standards. You/we sell it — the partner receives a finished product, ready for sale on both domestic and international markets. This model allows manufacturers of unmanned platforms to focus on what they do best — designing and producing the carrier itself — without having to design a payload and complete the testing and certification procedures.

The ReconSky-LM is designed for a broad spectrum of frontline missions, including the neutralization of enemy personnel and field positions, engagement of armored and lightly armored vehicles, artillery, command and control assets, and other high-value battlefield targets, as well as the rapid engagement of emerging threats beyond the line of sight.
Description
The ReconSky-LM is a universal loitering munition platform designed in Poland for a wide range of frontline missions. Its modular architecture features a dedicated payload bay capable of accommodating different types of mission-specific payloads. The system combines high speed, low acoustic signature, and extended endurance, enabling flexible deployment and persistent
operation in demanding environments. Engineered for precision strike, and minimal collateral damage, it delivers a decisive tactical advantage to land, sea, and air forces. With a family of four quick-
interchangeable payloads the system is lethal, survivable, and
operator-centric. Developed in Poland, this versatile frontline weapon provides a unique combination of speed, discretion, endurance, and payload flexibi–lity in a single platform.
Operations
The ReconSky-LM conducts precision strike missions in any conditions.
Typical missions include destruction of high-value assets, engagement of vehicles, neutralization of fortified positions, and close fire support in urban or complex terrain. Maritime operations are equally supported, with the munition engaging fast attack craft or specific areas of larger vessels. Low radar and acoustic signatures significantly reduce detection probability, while multiple independent safety levels prevent unintended initiation at all times.
Strike
Terminal attack is a direct kamikaze impact with a high accuracy. Throughout the attack run, man-in-the-loop control allows the operator to abort or redirect the munition at any moment, providing full control over terminal effects.
Ground Control Station
The Ground Control Station receives real-time video and flight telemetry. The operator manually pilots the munition using the video feed and commands an attack by locking onto a target. The encrypted data link maintains connectivity in contested electromagnetic environments, and a loss-of-signal routine automatically triggers a pre-set safe
termination.
User Friendly
The interface is organized into clear modes, requiring minimal interaction to complete a successful engagement. No prior aviation experience is required, and the workflow is designed to be learned quickly by infantry, special operations, and security forces.
Rapid Deployment
From case opening through assembly, pre-flight health check, and launch, the entire process takes under 10 minutes. This allows immediate response to fleeting targets without specialized personnel or support equipment.
Long Term Support
The program provides life-cycle technical assistance. A dedicated technical support team offers remote diagnostics and operational guidance. Spare parts and replenishment airframes are guaranteed for the full-service life of the system, with flexible logistics packages tailored to the user’s infrastructure.
Maintenance
All electronic and propulsion components are housed in sealed, line-replaceable modules that can be exchanged in the field without calibration. The composite airframe requires no painting or corrosion protection; routine maintenance consists solely of a visual inspection and a battery status check. The munition requires no field maintenance and remains ready for immediate use.
Training
Training is provided by manufacturer-certified instructors and is based entirely on practical, hands-on instruction. Within
a short, structured course, operators achieve full proficiency in safe handling, flight control, and terminal attack, regardless of previous background.
